Michael Jordan has always fancied playing basketball ever since his childhood days. In the hopes of being able to play, he never forgets to follow the path of his big brothers all the way to their local park every Saturday. However, there is one problem that keeps Michael from pursuing his desire to play: Mark who happens to be the tallest kid around the court. He usually taunts and browbeats Michael every time he sees him. There was even a time when Michael was about to give his victorious shot, the long arms of Mark thudded the ball from him, which led to the opposing team's success.
After that game, our beloved Michael Jordan felt so disheartened and was rather frustrated about his lack of height. Not loving the disgruntled face of his son, Deloris tells him to put salt inside his shoes and then always pray before going to sleep every single night. She gives assurance that he'll become taller in no time. Michael agrees to his mother's suggestion. One night, she prays for him, just like how she pray for all of her children. That time, she pleaded in the name of God for Michael to do his best at all times and never lose faith. Her prayer ended by wishing for her son to grow at least a bit taller on the day that follows.
Since then, putting salt in his shoes, eating healthy meals and praying has become his daily routine. After a couple of months, there didn't seem to be any progress with his height. He was missing the times that he used to play at the park with his brothers and buddies. His father then patted him gently by the chest saying "You're a great player my boy. Go get 'em." Inspired by the words of his dad, Michael joins the game that was already on-going. This time, he was successful enough to pursue his winning shot. Filled with loads of joy, Michael runs all the way home, bringing the good news to his parents. While his mother stopped putting salt in his shoes, he doesn't and never gave up his patience, as well as his faith for the sake of his goals.
Today, Michael Jordan stands at six feet and six inches tall. He is still know today as The Greatest Of All Time (G.O.A.T.) ever to play in the basketball industry.
